Small Scale Production

With competition tighter than ever, speed to market is critical to many of our customers. To meet their needs, we have incorporated small scale equipment capabilities into our operation.

We now have a small scale fluid bed and small scale PK blenders. By early 2009, we will also have small scale encapsulator, small scale coater, small scale chilsonator, and small scale in-bin blender capabilities. An instrumented, small scale tablet press, and a small scale high shear granuator, have been purchased and will be in use within Q1 2009.

This suite of equipment will enable us to substantially trim the time and cost traditionally required to run trials for a new product using small scale batches that meet all regulatory standards. With our equipment, it will no longer be necessary to wait for commercial grade equipment to be available in order to move a new product along the path of stability testing and FDA approval. We are also licensed for handling controlled substances.
