Back to Press Releases October 16, 2002, Norwich, NY Norwich Pharmaceuticals has named Mark Bricker as Manager, Customer Service and Carl Rucker as Senior Formulations/Process Engineer. These two critical posts were created to help manage the company’s current influx of business and anticipated expansion over the next year. Mark Bricker comes to Norwich following assignments at both Siemens and Lockheed Martin Corporation where, for both companies, he created customer service solutions for key national and international clients. He also served as Director, Customer Fulfillment, for Dovatron Manufacturing, where he designed and implemented formalized measures of customer performance and satisfaction –core components in the delivery of superior customer care. The appointment of Carl Rucker adds to the process engineering and product formulation capabilities of the Norwich site. Most recently Carl was Section Leader at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and Purdue Pharma, where he played a pivotal role in the development, piloting and scale up of new products. Dave Brown, Director of Norwich New Business Development, points out the value of Carl’s background. “As we prepare to expand our services by adding fluid bed technology,” says Brown, “Carl’s experience gives us an even deeper mastery of the art of fluid bed granulation.” Lou Arp, VP Operations for Norwich Pharmaceuticals, comments enthusiastically, “The addition of these experienced and capable managers to the Norwich Pharmaceuticals team shows our commitment to always delivering the high level of service our customers expect from us. The experience and skills that Mark and Carl bring to the table will be invaluable in maintaining positive momentum and consistent performance in this most critical area.” Mark holds an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Electrical Technology from Broome Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Binghamton University. Carl received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Norwich is a contract manufacturer and packager based in Norwich, NY providing comprehensive support from clinical trial through scale-up to commercial launch in the pharmaceutical industry. The company brings many years of experience to the production, packaging and distribution of solid dose, semi-solid and liquid medications.
