Saral Thangam, MD, PhD
Managing Director

Saral Thangam leads a distinguished team of professionals, each of whom have at least 15 years of experience in clinical research and life sciences. Having published and presented many research papers in scientific forums in international conferences, Dr. Thangam’s previous assignment was with Lotus Labs as Managing Director. In addition, she has headed various operational units, including clinical pharmacology, clinical development, quality assurance and business development.

Peter B. Bottini, PharmD, FCP
Senior Director

Peter Bottini has an accomplished career of more than 30 years in strategic planning, clinical research and pharmacovigilance. Previously, he held various positions, including Head of North American Product Safety and Executive Director of Product Safety and Risk Management for Mylan, Inc. Dr. Bottini has participated in many risk management programs, and was a founding participant in the US iPLEDGE (isotretinoin) pregnancy risk management program. Dr. Bottini’s writings have appeared extensively in publications and abstracts. He received his PharmD from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, School of Pharmacy, and was awarded a Fellowship with the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.

Fjalar Kristjansson, PhD
Director

Fjalar Kristjansson is a pharmaceutical industry leader with more than 25 years experience in R&D, clinical development, laboratory management, QA management, site development, pharmaceutical formulation and other areas. Before joining Norwich, Dr. Kristjansson was a key figure in the growth and development of a leading Indian CRO while serving as Technical Director for that firm. Dr. Kristjansson received his Pharmacy degree from the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas.

Ranganath Nayak, MD, DM
Director

In a career spanning more than 25 years, Ranganath Nayak has served and trained as an Interventional Cardiologist in various geographies worldwide. Currently, Dr. Nayak is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at a leading private hospital in Bangalore, India. Dr. Nayak’s professional interests are interventional cardiology and training of postgraduate students specializing in cardiology and clinical research in the field of interventional cardiology. Dr. Nayak received his MD from Command Hospital, Bangalore University; a DM in cardiology from Christian Medical College, Vellore; and a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. He was awarded the Hargobind Overseas Training Fellowship in 1991 for training in interventional cardiology in Australia and France.

Sudhir Pai
Director

Sudhir Pai is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with more than 15 years experience in the Life Sciences industry. He was awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in the year 2005, by Biospectrum, a leading magazine in the healthcare industry. Previously, Mr. Pai held various corporate positions including Managing Director and CEO at Lotus Labs.

Mani Kandasamy, MS  
Chief Operating Officer

Mani Kandasamy has more than 28 years of experience in the clinical research industry. Among his previous assignments was that of Chief of Biometrics with Lotus Labs. In addition, he brings over two decades of experience as a biostatistician. Mr. Kandasamy holds the degree of Master of Science in Biostatistics.
